FRSTeam by Prestige Cleaners Supports the Local Community Through Many Programs For the last 10 years FRSTeam by Prestige Cleaners of Knoxville, Tennessee, has been one of the major sponsors of Coats for the Cold in the Knoxville area, cleaning free of charge more than 60,000 coats that have been distributed to needy people. Most recently FRSTeam by Prestige Cleaners established Project Classroom, a year round fundraising program that will support the Knox County and Oak Ridge School Systems. Each year FRSTeam by Prestige Cleaners will donate a percentage of annual revenues to K-12 schools in Knox County and Oak Ridge. FRSTeam by Prestige Cleaners President, Eddie Mannis, is also sponsoring a program called HonorAir-Knoxville, where World War II veterans from Knox, Anderson and Blount counties of Tennessee, will be flown free of charge to Washington, DC to visit the W Eddie Mannis, President, FRSTeam by Prestige Cleaners orld War II Memorial as well as other memorials. The flight is open to veterans who have not seen the National Mall memorial, which honors the men and women who fought in WWII. The one-day round-trip covers all expenses on a chartered flight. There were 16 million Americans who served during WWII. Now there are just a little more than 3 million WWII veterans still alive. Eddie feels it is somewhat urgent that we take as many as possible to see the memorial that was built to thank them for their service and to mourn the 400,000 war dead who will never see it. Flights include volunteer escorts or travel assistants who pay their own way. The escorts assist three to four veterans on the flight helping them through security, getting on and off the plane safely, boarding the buses, getting snacks and meal boxes, and ensuring the veterans have a ride home at the end of the day. There is also a physician and paramedics accompanying the group on the plane. FRSTeam by Prestige Cleaners also supports other community organizations such as the Dogwood Arts Festival, Career Closet, the Boys and Girls Club, Helen Ross McNabb Center, Alzheimer's Association, and the Susan G.
