Founded in 1986 as Dry Cleaning Services by Donald B. Pate, Sr., the company immediately became one of Northern Ohio’s leading restoration dry cleaners. It was clear then and now that victims of disasters need help. Donald realized the need for a specialized restoration dry cleaning service for the insurance industry. Soon the company started expanding, quickly pushing the areas of service further throughout Ohio. A business change in 1994, brought a new generation of family and ideas. Kenneth Pate along with his mother, Sally formed a new company and image becoming DKS Dry Cleaning Restoration. This family held company continued to grow, serving customers throughout Northern Ohio. In 1999 the acquisition of a competitor expanded service into Southern Ohio. Now, DKS Dry Cleaning Restoration has serviced over 6000 household disasters related to fire or water damage. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, DKS was summoned to clean 26 pallets of stage drapes from a trade show exhibitor in New Orleans. Now as a FRSTeam Licensee, FRSTeam by DKS Dry Cleaning Restoration will be creating it’s own remarkable story. “This will put a fresh look in our marketplace, with a national presence, it will help us expand our territory”, said Kenneth. “We spent a couple of years researching companies, others offered programs, but not with the compassion that a family oriented company like FRSTeam has. This allows us to continue to run our company with the same family values, but with better support”.
