The FRSTeam RESToration Retreat was held at the beautiful Silverado Resort in Napa Valley, California April 25-27, 2007. Sixteen licensees along with representatives from six other FRSTeam affiliate offices and guests gathered in the heart of the California wine country to celebrate the first official yearly conference.
Day one focused on the changing restoration insurance industry, with attendees from across the United States and Canada enjoying speakers from two national insurance carriers, a restoration contractor panel discussion, and an insightful look at how the FRSTeam service model translated in the UK by Shaun Mason of Johnson's Fabric Restoration Services, a FRSTeam UK affiliate. After an evening under the stars and a gourmet "Taste of Napa Valley," day two focused on marketing and FRSTaid, FRSTeam's proprietary web based computer application. Lenny Towle, the FRSTeam national sales director, was instrumental in bringing FRSTaid to life. "FRSTaid is unique in that all facets of our service model, based on 20 years of specific restoration dry cleaning experience, were considered in the design and incorporated in the final product. Marketing information ties into service points, ties into quality assurance, which matches to customized reporting and so on. This system is instrumental in FRSTeam's ability to offer, and prove, a consistency of service throughout all offices so greatly needed in our industry." Licensees commented on the quality of the venue, the food, the speakers and the content.
New licensees from Tennessee, Russ Jacobs and Teresa Price capped off the event by getting engaged in a hot air balloon ride. While there was not a lot of rest in the RESToration retreat, a celebratory mood for an exciting first year with 18 new licensees, coverage in 28 states and a refocus of commitment to our mission statement of family, integrity, responsibility, satisfaction and technology was shared by all.
