Our History

Founded in 2006, FRSTeam was built upon the success of Custom Commercial Fabric Restoration Services, one of the largest independently-owned restoration cleaners in the country. Custom Commercial continues to operate as affiliate offices of FRSTeam in eight western states.

The FRSTeam business model delivers a personalized customer service experience to all parties involved in the claims process. Employing a proprietary tracking and reporting system called FRSTaid, FRSTeam offers a unique level of accountability in the fabric restoration industry. In its first 12 months of business, FRSTeam awarded 18 licenses, making it one of the fastest growing restoration service companies in the nation. FRSTeam now services over 40 states in the continental United States. Internationally, FRSTeam has a licensee in Ontario, Canada and an affiliate relationship with the largest restoration cleaner in the United Kingdom, Johnsons Restoration.

FRSTeam is a family-owned and operated company. Courtney Nicholas serves as the CEO, while her husband, Jim Nicholas, serves as the President of FRSTeam. Both, along with Courtney's brother, Ryan Meekma, were driving forces in the development of Custom Commercial, and have leveraged their experience to position FRSTeam as a national leader in the insurance restoration industry. Ryan is the Vice President and Training Director while Holly Murry, VP, serves as Director of Third-Party Administration.

Sensing that the industry was ready for a new and different alternative, Jim, Courtney, Ryan and Holly created the FRSTeam business model.  A nationwide franchise with core business practices based on family values, FRSTeam provides superior quality and personalized customer service.
